This is a story about a kid who has always known he is adopted but starts getting mysterious letters and finds out a shocking secret to his adoption, he`s from the past.
This book showed me/I learned from this story: if your adopted and curious where you came from, talk to your parents and tell them that you want to know more about your adoption.
State a problem in the story and how it was solved: Jonah and his parents go to see the FBI to find out where Jonah came from. He was telling them that Jonah could be a part of an adoption smuggling and be sent back to the adoption agency. Jonah told Katherine to take pictures of these files about him lying on Mr. Reardon`s desk to find out where he really came from.
Plot: The Action/Summary of What Happened in the Story
1. Jonah and his sister go to an adoption camp with their parents and the counselers take them out while the parents have a meeting. After the counselers take them, they go through the woods and they make the kids touch a specific place on a rock. They go into a cave and it turns out to be a ship meant to send the kids back in time or stay in the future.
2. Chip finds out he is adopted.
3. Jonah and Chip start receiving letters like Beware! Their coming back to get you! And the try to figure out who sent them.
4. They find a file in Chip`s basement that had a name on it ( Mr. Reardon) and they go to his office to find out where they came from.
5. They meet with a witness that saw the plane disappear named Angela DuPree and she tells them to meet her at a conference room in the library to talk.
6. When Angela and the kids are talking they hear a loud NO! and they see a large man being tackled by a teenage janitor who is also from the future and he tells them to escape out the window.
Evaluation of the Book
What did you think of the book? It was very mysterious and interesting, I like how some parts were scary and suspenseful
What did you like about the book? It grabbed my attention really fast and I like how much it describes how the character is feeling every second.
What didn’t you like about the book? I thought that some of the book was too confusing and really didn`t make any sense at all.
Was the story confusing or hard to believe? It was both.
Was the story predictable (could you guess what was going to happen?) No I never knew what was going to happen next because it just left me hanging there.
Was the story believable? NO I couldn’t imagine if that was real.
The ending was very unexpected but very good at the same time. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Kyle/Adrian,
I` m sorry the witch turned you into a beast, but you were really mean to a lot of people you jerk. I understand the witch’s reason for turning you into a beast. Before, when you were human, you always made fun of every one about how they looked if they weren’t` t hot or if they didn’t wear designer clothes and were rich.
When you were a human you were hot, I mean REALLY hot, but ugly on the inside. Then when she turned you into a beast you became nice and caring but were ugly on the outside. I know how bad it hurt when you wanted to be with Lindy when she left but i was there for you. When you got back with lindy in the end it hurt. I really fell for your character. I guess it was a good thing when Lindy kissed you and turned you back into a human. But if she ever leaves again……. Call me.
