Theme
What is the author trying to say in this story? What is his lesson in life?
Is there a moral to this story?
I think the moral of the story is that if you want something so bad than you should go after it is worth a chance.

This is a story about: courage, working hard, doing the right thing, greed, importance of friends, love, caring, happiness, sadness.

This book showed me/I learned from this story: Well this book is not really a book that you can learn from I think that the ones that make the rules a sometimes the bad guys.

State a problem in the story and how it was solved: Well it all starts when the dad (Harold) gets taken away for fighting outside the game of epic and gets taken away to the island for exiles but he escaped and move far away with Freya (his wife). When he went into the game to fight for solar panels for his community they found out it was him and took him away. Erick and his friends went and made up a plan to kill the Red Dragon and use the money to bribe the guards to let his father out.

This book is a Lone Star winner from 2009

Letter to My Author

Dear Conor Kostick,

I want to know what made you want to write this book. What inspired you to come up with such great characters and and the world that they live in. Why did you want to write a book like Epic with such an amazing story of the love between Erik and Harold and what a son on the new world would do for his father? I would like to know these things so please write back.

Yours truly Gari Nell
