Bucking the Sarge by CP Curtis

Luther T. Farrell is a talented person, but his win in the science fair creates a problem with “The Sarge” a.k.a. his mother. His women troubles, mother troubles, and sidekick Sparky make this a hilarious story that not only entertains you but keeps darkness visible. Luther’s mother who is known as Sarge and is a slum lord who milks the system, frightens him and the reader, but his willingness to stand up for himself keeps the reader excited about his plight.
